Elwanda Baker Head, 75, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away Wednesday April 25, 2012. Funeral: 2 p.m. Friday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment: Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home. Elwanda was born July 31, 1936, to Isaac and Etta Baker. She had been an area resident since 1963 and was a member of the Church of God A.W.A. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Alton C. Head; children, Arland Head and wife, Terry, Carl Head and wife, Neita, Kenneth Head and wife, Denise, and Carol Rodriguez and husband, Jose; brothers, T.L. Baker and Dwight Baker; 15 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
