Ethel Merlene Curry, 87, a loving mother, granny, "G.G.," sister and friend to many, passed away peacefully Monday, March 23, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Thurmond Fairview Cemetery in Wise County. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Curry was preceded in death by our daddy, Carl, to whom she was married for 57 years. Although she lived to be 87 years old, she remained forever young at heart. Though we will miss her dearly, she will live forever in our hearts. She is survived by her children, Joe Curry, Kay Curry Keesey and husband, Doug, and Deborah Allen; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
