Eurico Ziedonis Strauss was born July, 27, 1949 and passed away January 23, 2021. Three days later, the family mourned the loss of their son and brother, Ericson Ziedonis Strauss, who was born, April 5, 1982 and passed away, January 26, 2021. Eurico Strauss ("Pastor Eurico") was born on July 27, 1949, in Osvaldo Cruz, Sao Paulo, the son of Modrigais & Rasma Zivert Strauss. Eurico was married to Ivete Aparecido da Silva on July 18, 1981 in Pirituba, Sao Paulo, where they lived for 40 years. Eurico studied many different majors including chemistry, engineering, and mathematics, but finally completed his undergraduate at Faculdade Teologica Batista de Sao Paulo after the Lord called him into ministry. Eurico always had a passion for designing, construction, painting, and gardening - all skills that God would use for His kingdom. With Ivete walking side-by-side with Eurico in everything they did, they followed the Lord's calling into church planting. Eurico helped to start Igreja Batista en Laranjeras. From there he was called to start and pastor Igreja Batista do Caminho en Vila Teresinha. He designed and built this church himself utilizing the skills God gave him and served as pastor for 30 years with this church. He retired there as Pastor Emeritus. He and Ivete served faithfully bringing many souls to know the salvation we have through Jesus Christ. Within these 30 years, besides faithfully preaching, teaching, serving, and loving the congregation, he also launched 2 other churches he designed and built: Igreja Batista en Parque de Taipas and Igreja Batista en Vila Rosina. Eurico was also a loving spouse, father, grandfather, and friend. He and Ivete were inseparable and were better because they were together. They were the perfect complements for each other. He adored all of his children and grandchildren and enjoyed teaching, playing, and spending time with them. Those that were blessed enough to call him friend know that he was a dedicated and great friend also. Eurico is remembered and loved by his wife Ivete Strauss, children, Eurico Ziedonis Strauss, Jr. and Estefane Strauss Cline and her husband Cameron Cline and grandchildren Christofer, Amanda, and Rafael Strauss and Elise Strauss Cline and Caleb Estevam Strauss Cline.
