Obituary

Eva Everett Alcala, age 68, passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at Medical City Hospital in Downtown Fort Worth, Texas. Her daughters, husband, and son-in-law held her hand and prayed over her as she exhaled her last breath. Eva was born January 31, 1951 in Levelland, Texas. She was a lifelong homemaker and her pride and joy were her two daughters, her husband, her family, and her love in Christ. Eva never met a stranger, treating everyone she met like family. She often patiently listened to people unload their problems and she would offer them a hug and a prayer. Eva enjoyed spending time with her family playing games, singing, dancing, and listening to her son-in-law call out La Loteria in his broken Spanish accent. Her legacy will remain being named Parent of the Year raising two girls that followed their dreams because they had the courage, inspiration, and blessing from their mom who encouraged their continued education. Eva is preceded in death by her father, Joe Angel Everett and mother, Dominga Olivares; sisters, Julia Mae de la Garza, Beatrice Alcala, and brother, Lupe Olivares. She is survived by her husband, Joe; daughters, Susan and Eva Jo; son-in-law, Brian; brother, Juan Angel Everett and family from Earth, Tx; sister, Maria Lucia Garcia and family from Dimmitt, Tx; brother, Joe Angel, Jr. Everett from Sudan, Tx; brother, Ramon Everett and family from Floydada, Tx; brother, Noe Everett and family from Amarillo, Tx; and brother, David Everett and family from Farwell, Tx.
