Obituary

Frankie Elaine Hickman, 90, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 4, 1933, in Limestone County, Texas, to the late William Taft and Esther Taylor. She was the beloved wife of Paul L. Hickman, who preceded her in death in 2012. They were married for 58 years and had four children.

Frankie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She raised her children in North Richland Hills, Texas, where she was an active member of the Birdville Baptist Church. She worked at Tarrant County Community College and earned her degree in business at the age of 54 from Texas Woman's University. She was a talented seamstress and gardener and enjoyed creating beautiful things for her family and friends.

She is survived by her four children, Paula Hickman Bucher, Bradley Hickman, John Hickman, and Phillip Hickman and his wife, Jodie; her sister, Peggy Jo Williams; her eight grandchildren, Matthew, Bradley Bucher and Taylor Monroe, Katelyn Thornton, Clayton, Nickolas, Hannah, and Philippe Hickman; her six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie, Herberta, and Billy Fay.

Frankie will be interred at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery with her beloved husband Paul.

Frankie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was a kind, generous, and loving person who touched many lives with her grace and compassion. She left behind a legacy of faith, family, and friendship that will live on in the hearts of those who cherish her.
