Fred Ashabranner, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.  He was surrounded by his wife, Carolyn; son, Toby; and longtime caregiver, Leah.

Visitation:  10:00 am, Saturday, May 11, 2024, Greenwood Memorial Park prior to Service.

Graveside Service:  11:00 am, Saturday, May 11, 2024, Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas.

Fred graduated from Castleberry High School, where he met Carolyn, whom he was married to for 57 years.  He attended Arlington State College (UT Arlington) before beginning his work career in the grocery business.  He eventually made his way to General Dynamics / Lockheed, where he spent the last 25 years of his career before retiring in 2005.

Fred was a long-time member of River Oaks Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon, Church Treasurer and participated in other ministries throughout the years, such as youth leader and a food pantry volunteer.

After retiring, Fred enjoyed spending time in his garage on woodworking projects designed by his wife Carolyn, but what he enjoyed most was spending time together as a couple, doing projects together, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and of course, going out to eat at their favorite restaurants around Fort Worth.
