It is with great sadness to share Gary Elbert Jolley passed away at Baylor Scott Hospital in Burleson, TX on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the age of 80. He died during the pandemic of 2020, his cause of death was from Covid-19 complications. Celebration of Gary's life will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76135. Inurnment: He will be laid to rest with Military honors at 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 3, 2021 in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Paw for Reflection Ranch at www.pawsforreflectionranch.org Gary was born in Chanute, Kansas on June 3, 1940. He graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1958 and went on to get a Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma State University in 1964. Following graduation, he joined the Air Force and served for 14 years, 1964-1978. During his time, he was deployed to serve in Vietnam. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service. Gary worked for Radio Shack for several years in the 1980's. He spent his years prior to retirement serving as a representative for Olympus Cameras. Gary was a man of many talents and enjoyed painting, making stained glass, recording and editing home videos and woodworking. But his passion was travel. He volunteered at DFW airport as an ambassador and helped travelers along their way. Gary is predeceased by his father and mother, Elbert Jolley and Maxine Hayes Jolley Graves; and his step-father, Jack Graves. Gary is survived by his Wife of 55 years, Patricia Jolley. They were married in Denver, Colorado in 1966. Gary is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Megan Morrison and her husband, William. Gary was the proud grandfather to four grandchildren, Theodore (age 7), Sebastian and Gabriel (age 6) and Isabelle (age 2). Gary's sister, Billye Zimmer and Mary Dudley, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, honor his memory, for they knew him first and loved him greatly.
