Gary Lynn Wood, age 68, of Saginaw, Texas passed away Sunday morning, April 26, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Celebration of Life: 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 11, 2026, Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas.

Graveside service to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Gary was the youngest of three siblings, raised by Cecil and Barbara Joanne Northcutt. He graduated from W.E. Boswell High School in 1975 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Navy. Following his service, Gary built a remarkable 42-year career with Lockheed Martin, where he was respected for his dedication and work ethic.

Gary had a deep love for the outdoors and travel, finding special joy in the mountains, where he could often be found hunting, fishing, skiing, or boating. He was known for his generosity, often spending hours preparing barbecue to share with family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to be around him. He was deeply devoted to his family, and while he experienced success in many areas of life, he was most proud of his son. He will be remembered for his kindness, his warmth, and his playful sense of humor, always ready with a well-timed practical joke.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Nancy Neal; son, Brandon Wood; brother, Steve McClanahan and wife, Debbie; sister, Barbara Doherty and husband, Earl; niece, Andrea Hayes; and nephew, Josh McClanahan; along with many other family and friends who loved him.
