With profound love and deep respect for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Chief Master Sergeant George Franklin English, United States Air Force (Ret.), who departed this life peacefully at home on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the age of 88.

Service: 2:00 p.m., Friday August 8, 2025, in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Avenue, Lake Worth, Texas 76135.

Committal with Military Honors: 10:15 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2025, George will be reunited with his beloved wife Pauline and laid to rest at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery Dallas, Texas with military honors rendered in recognition of his distinguished service to the nation.

Visitation: 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Born in 1937, George Franklin English was a devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, and a friend to so many. A man of unwavering character and humility, George dedicated his life to serving both his country and his family with honor, loyalty, and pride.

George's distinguished career in the United States Air Force spanned decades, during which he rose to the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, the highest enlisted rank attainable. His leadership, wisdom, and quiet strength were admired by all who served beside him. He was not only a dedicated serviceman, but also a mentor, guide, and protector to many during his time in uniform and his careers to follow.

Beyond his military accomplishments, George's greatest legacy lies in the love he poured into his family. A devoted husband, he shared a lifetime of partnership and love with his wife. As a father, he provided strength and steady guidance; as a grandfather and great-grandfather, he offered boundless love, laughter, and life lessons that will be passed down through generations. He took immense pride in the accomplishments of those he loved. He was the cornerstone of his family—always present, always supportive, always proud.

George was a man of extraordinary warmth and wit. A natural talker and storyteller, he had a gift for making people feel welcome with just a smile and a good tale - often punctuated with laughter and a crazy handshake. His stories, whether told around the kitchen table, at family gatherings or in the aisles of a local store, were never just stories - they were cherished lessons, treasured memories, and glimpses into a life fully and passionately lived.

George was also a great friend—loyal, kind-hearted, and always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear. He had a quiet way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued. His integrity, sense of duty, and deep faith will continue to inspire all who knew him.

George was preceded in death by his wife and love of his life, Pauline Olga English.

He is survived by his daughter, Deb Ceron and her husband, Mark Ceron; his son, Tony English and his wife, Teresa; his son, Steven English and his wife, Penny; as well as five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, extended family, and a lifetime of friends who will miss him dearly but carry his memory forward with gratitude and love.

Though he has left this earth, his legacy lives on — in the family he cherished, the friendships he nurtured, the lives he inspired, and the love he gave so freely. George Franklin English was more than a military hero. He was a hero in the hearts of those who knew him. We will carry his memory with us always!
