Obituary

George Joseph Keller, age 90, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication.

Graveside: 10:30 am, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Born on September 24, 1934, in the Bronx, New York, George was the third of four children to Walter and Harriet Keller. He was blessed with a marriage spanning over 70 years to his loving wife, Kathy, who preceded him in passing just five months ago.

A proud Marine, George lived by the motto, "Once a Marine, always a Marine." His devotion to service carried over into his career as a flight instructor for American Airlines, where he shared his passion for aviation. A natural athlete, he played first base for the airline's softball team, showing off his skills as a lefty. His enthusiasm for adventure was limitless—he rode motorcycles and horses, flew both seaplanes and airplanes, raised and showed Saint Bernards, skied down snowy slopes with confidence, and was a skilled mechanic with a knack for fixing anything.

One of his greatest joys was sailing on Eagle Mountain Lake, where he built friendships that lasted a lifetime. His faith was a cornerstone of his life, as he remained a devoted parishioner of Saint Thomas Catholic Church.

George leaves behind a loving family who cherished him deeply. He is survived by his older brother Walter and younger sister Joan; his four children, Coreen, Scott, Todd, and Brad; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who will forever hold him in their hearts.

As we say goodbye, we celebrate the life of a strong Marine, a devoted husband and father, and a man who embraced every moment with courage and passion.

May the Lord welcome George into His eternal kingdom, where he will reunite with his beloved Kathy and continue his journey of peace and love.
