Gerald Lynn Cypert, 73, died Friday, October 13 in his home. Memorial Service: 10 a.m Thursday, October 19 at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel. Gerald Lynn Cypert (Jerry) was born in Fort Worth on January 23, 1944 to Helen Akins Cypert and Claude Raymond Cypert, both deceased. He graduated from Amon Carter Riverside High School in 1962 and received his B.A. in Business from TCU. Jerry enlisted in the Air Force and served in Vietnam. After his discharge, he worked in the field of finance in Fort Worth, Alvin, Texas and as Credit Manager for Star Furniture in Houston. He was Credit Manager for Briggs Weaver Company in Houston for many years until his retirement. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors. Some of his best memories were summers at his grandparents' farm near Hillsboro. He loved gardening, watching sports, dominoes and spending time with his extended family. He was generous in all things. A stoical, uncomplaining man whose courage under suffering was remarkable, Jerry had a quiet faith that sustained him through many health challenges. He was especially grateful for the constant support and help from his brother David.
