Glen Franklin Hardee passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, February 10, 2015, at his sons home while holding his hand. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Dido Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home. Glen was born April 14, 1931, in Peton to Joseph Abraham Hardee and Dessie Pearl Galttana Hardee. Glen worked for Bell Helicopter for 42 years. He spent the years since his wifes death, caring for his grandchildren and great-grandsons as well as bowling, country western dancing and making the crowds laugh. Glen was a simple man and always said "I hope you live as long as you want to and want to as long as you live." Happy trails to one of the sweetest souls around. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jammie Helen Brannon Hardee; his daughter, Jannice Lynn Hardee Ballard and her husband, Harry "Pete" Ballard. Glen is survived by his son, Glen Eugene Hardee and wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Luke Hardee and wife, Carrie, Jake Bobby Hardee and wife, Lucy, Katie Isaneous and husband, Michael, Amy Mullikan, Jana Mills and Julie McCuller; and great-grandchildren, Gwenyth, Violet May, Austin, Sam, Sean and Justin. He is also survived by sisters, Bonnie Justice and husband, Don, Linda Hefley and husband, Ed; brother, Charlie Hardee and wife, Sandra; brother-in-law, Jessie Brannon; companion, Ruth Kime; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
