Gloria Browne, age 83, passed from this life on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

Direct Burial: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Gloria was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Azle with her family in 1979. She was a teacher by trade and taught in many places, including Okinawa Japan for the Department of Defense and then retiring from Azle ISD in Texas. Gloria was known for her love of teaching and her tireless dedication to local education. She inspired countless students over her career. She loved her family dearly, immediate and extended alike and will be greatly missed, until we see her again one day.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Ronald D. Browne; her mother, Marcia C. Wiles; her father, Charles A. Wiles; her mother-in-law, Eloise L. Browne; her father-in-law, U.S.A.F. Col. Roy Browne and wife, Ruth; and her brother-in-law, Roy W. Browne Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Trenton Browne and wife, Cynthia of Sunset, Trevor Browne and wife, Tara of Azle, and Tristan Browne and wife, Amber of Aledo; her brother, Darrell A. Wiles and sister-in-law, Ann Wiles of Freeland, MD; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Ward of St. Augustine FL; grandchildren, Jeremy, Josh, Beni, Kylee, Kynleigh, Kasen, Mia and Dane; and several great grandchildren and nieces.
