Gloria passed away to be with her lord and savior on Saturday, September 2, 2023.
Private Graveside Service at Ash Creek Cemetery.
Celebration of Life: 10:00 am to Noon, Saturday, September 23, 2023 at The Azle ISD Building, aka: "The Rock School", The Swarm Room
Gloria was a kind, loving woman with a big heart. She would love to talk and spend time with family and friends to remanence about past times and look forward to future ones. Gloria started her teaching career in Navasota, Tx in 1970. Once she moved to the Fort Worth area with her family, she taught at Rosemont Jr High in north Fort Worth for a short period of time. Finding the perfect home for her family in Azle, Tx in 1985 she landed another teaching job at Walnut Creek Elementary teaching 4th grade and didn't stop until she retired in 2006. She enjoyed her fellow teachers and administrators and by helping students succeed. She was considered tough & firm but was fair and supportive. She taught for a total of 36 years, enjoyed every moment, every student, and never looked back.
She was preceded by her husband of 51 years, Charles E. Harrison (Chuck) and her parents, Eldred K. & Lucille E. Ray.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn E. Bean and husband, Eddie; her son, KC Harrison and wife, Holli; her grandchildren, Devin, Tatum & Wyatt, along with many family members and friends.
