Glynn Atwell Ford, age 79, of Azle Texas, passed away March 20, 2025. Known for his youthful spirit that never quite matched his years, Glynn was born on August 31, 1945, in Texarkana, Texas, on the Arkansas side of the hospital.

Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 7, 2025, Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Graveside: 2:30 p.m., Monday, following service at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Visitation: 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, April 6, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home.

Glynn's first job was at Leonard Brothers, where he met the love of his life, Gloria Jean. When Gloria turned 18, Glynn picked her up from her house, and the two were married on January 9, 1964 on her 18th birthday. Together, they shared 42 years of marriage until her passing on September 3, 2007.

In 1965, Glynn enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. His work as an aircraft mechanic on C-130s and T-38 HVAC systems took him and Gloria across the country before they had children. Their daughter, Beth, was born at Carswell Air Force Base in 1973, and their son, Clifford, was born in Madrid, Spain, in 1975. Glynn served 20 years in the Air Force, retiring as a Tech Sergeant (E6) before transitioning to a new career with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Department. He served 21 years with the department before retiring on August 31, 2007. Over the years, Glynn made many lifelong friends, both in the military and in his work with the sheriff's department.

After Gloria's passing, Glynn became deeply involved in his grandchildren's lives. He was a constant presence at their sporting events, never missing a game or a birthday celebration. He never missed a veterans Day/grandparents day school event with Lucas, Brett and Kelton. His love for his grandkids and great grandkids was immeasurable. Glynn's motto was simple—"My fun is watching them have fun." He was also a regular at Moe's Café, where he became a beloved figure, especially to his favorite waitress and adopted daughter, Diana Feirss who served him for the past 10 years. Glynn's daily visits to the café were a staple of his routine, and he was always greeted with warmth and affection by the staff and fellow patrons.

Glynn was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Jean Ford; his parents, Ruth and Clifford Ford; and his brother, Harold Ford.

He is survived by his daughter, Beth Hukill and husband Johnny Hukill; his son, Clifford Ford and wife Stephanie Ford; his grandchildren, Brett Harris, Erica Whiteside and husband Brant, and Allyson Harris; great-grandchildren, Lucas Ford and Knox Harris; his brother, Henry Ford and wife, Pam Ford; his best friend, Brenda Schroeder; and his beloved waitress and adopted daughter, Diana Feirss. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss him dearly.

Though he will be missed more than words can express, we take comfort in knowing that Glynn is no longer in pain and has been reunited with his beloved Gloria. We will forever cherish the memories of the love, laughter, and joy he brought into our lives.

Rest in peace, Little Daddy! You will always be in our hearts!
