Obituary

Harold Paul Harmon, 83, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2021, in Springtown, Texas. Service: 1:30 P.M., Saturday, August 21, 2021, at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel Interment: Goshen Cemetery, Parker County, Texas Visitation: 6 - 8 P.M., Friday, August 20, 2021, at Biggers Funeral Home In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate Gatorade and/or bottled water to the Lake Worth Fire Department in his honor. Paul was born April 8,1938 in Smith County, Mississippi to Andy and Dixie Harmon. He graduated from Lake Worth and went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division. After the Army, Paul took a job at the Texas Highway Department as an inspector and later as owner of his own business, Southwest Handrail. The company worked on many prominent projects, one in particular being, the first football field at the Lake Worth High School when it was built in 1979; but has since been redone. Paul had a love not only for his country, but his community as well. Serving as President on the Lake Worth School Board and later as a city councilman, he was able to help numerous people and businesses with an impact that still resonates today. That same love extended to his family as well. Whether it was sitting and watching knife infomercials or TCM with his kids, or having his grandchildren "crack" his neck, Paul Cherished the time spent with those he cared for the most. Preceded in Death by his parents, Andy & Dixie Harmon; wife, Leona (Beth) Harmon; son, Michael; brother, Karl; and sisters, Alice & Andrea Survived by his children, Patti, Doug, grandchildren, Neal, Casey, Jennifer, Justin, Jhodi, Mendi, Kenneth, and Matt; and numerous great grandchildren.
