Harry Wilson Wafer III, age 72, passed from this life on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Graveside Service: 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Harry was born on August 8, 1952, in Winnsboro, Louisiana, to Harry Wilson Wafer Jr. and Mary Agnes (Welch) Wafer. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After his service, he worked as a flight controller at Meacham Field.
Harry was an avid outdoorsman, with a deep passion for hunting, fishing, and cooking, particularly Cajun cuisine. He found joy in sharing his culinary creations with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Wilson Wafer Jr.
Harry is survived by his mother, Mary Agnes (Welch) Wafer of Mobile, Alabama; his children, Mary Alice Rossi and her spouse, Steven, of New Orleans, Louisiana, and John Scott Wafer and his spouse, Brandy, of Lake Worth; his grandchildren, Aidan Giovanni Rossi and Matteo Valentin Rossi, of New Orleans, Louisiana; and his brother, James Roy Wafer, of Mobile, Alabama.
Harry's legacy of love, dedication, and passion will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
