Harry Edward Young, age 83, beloved husband and best friend to wife, Linda, died on Saturday, July 20, 2024.
Mass of the Resurrections: 10:00 am, Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church.
Inurnment: 11:30 am, Thursday, October 24, following the Mass at Mount Olivet, Fort Worth, Texas.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made to Saint Thomas the Apostle Building Fund, 5953 Bowman Roberts Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76179-4601 or Meals on Wheels, 5740 Airport Freeway, Haltom City, Texas 76117-6005.
Harry donated his body to UNT Health Science Center, Medical School for the benefit of the physicians of the future.
Harry was born August 28, 1940, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Leonard E. and Alice M. Young. He met his true love, Linda while working for General Precision Link Group in Riverdale, Maryland and they were married in St. Hughs Catholic Church in Greenbelt, Maryland on November 30, 1968. They moved to Texas in October 1996.
Harry served in the Air Force from 1961 – 1965. His fondest memories were of the years he served in Mountain Home, Idaho working on the underground missile silos, mainly the Titan Missile. He loved to golf, read, do crossword puzzles and watch TV, especially his beloved Texas Rangers.
Harry was a very kindhearted soul and will be sadly missed by his wife, Linda.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Kenneth; sister, Patricia Hurdle and husband, Vern; niece, Deborah Benson; and nephew, David Hurdle.
Harry is survived by his loving wife, Linda; nieces, Sharon, Vicki and Beth; nephew, Vernon.
