Harvey was born on January 11, 1952, in Dallas Texas to Havery Sr. & Opal (Forsythe) McBride.

Graveside Service: 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2026, at West Bridgeport Cemetery with the Rev. Red Waller officiating. (West of Bridgeport. Go out Hwy 920 past the Acme Brick Plant about 2 miles. Turn left onto CR 3410 at 'Cemetery sign'. It's at the end of CR 3410 right next to the Bridgeport Riding Club Arena.)

Memorials: In lieu of flowers the family is requesting memorials to be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital (https://www.stjude.org), a charity that Harvey supported.

His family moved to St. Louis, Missouri when he entered middle school and then to Fort Worth when he entered high school where he lived the rest of his life.

Harvey was an avid fisherman and loved being in a boat with his "in-laws" and friends. He was a lover of Rock music and enjoyed dabbling with his guitars. Everyone who knew him loved him.

Harvey retired from General Dynamics/Lockhead-Martin after 39 years of service. He took great pride in building F-11s & F-16s. He was a member of the crew that worked on the first F-35 built on the production line.

Harvey was preceded in death by his loving wife of 15 years, Kim; his parents and his sister, Charlotte Freeman.

He is survived by and will be deeply missed by his stepbrother, Tommy Moore and wife, Meredith of California; his step-grandson, Joseph Johnson; his niece, Holly Heath and husband, Mark; his nephew, Michael Ayres and the entire Hopkins/Caraway family all from North Texas.
