Helen Christine (Moss) Dennis, 88, passed away peacefully at home on a beautiful Sunday morning, September 03, 2023.

Service: 10:00 am, Saturday, September 9, 2023 at The First Assembly of God Church, Azle, Texas.

Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, September 8, 2023 at Biggers Funeral Home.

Helen, a native of Holliday, Texas, was born on May 25, 1935, to Ira Wenton Moss and Bertha Caroline Krebs Moss. She spent her early years in Decatur, Texas, before making her home in Fort Worth. It was there that she crossed paths with the love of her life, Raybern Leroy Dennis, with whom she shared 41 years.

In 1966, Helen and Raybern made a pivotal move to Azle, Texas, where they put down roots and lovingly raised their five daughters. Helen was celebrated by her family as a devoted wife, nurturing mother, doting grandmother, and cherished great-grandmother. Her love and warmth created a lasting legacy.

Helen's life was characterized by unwavering dedication to God, family, and her church. Her faith served as a guiding light that illuminated the path for her and those she loved. Her actions spoke volumes about her priorities, and her family benefited greatly from her nurturing spirit.

Helen's creative spirit found expression in her love for sewing, and in her later years, she channeled this passion into creating beautiful quilts that adorned her family's homes. Her craftsmanship was a testament to her love that she poured into her creations.

Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Raybern Leroy Dennis; her parents, Ira and Bertha Moss; her brothers, Roy, Raymond, Grady, T.A., Weldon; and sister Bertha; as well as her son-in-law, Ron Van Winkle.

She is survived by her loving daughters: Brenda Van Winkle, Becky McDavid and husband, Raymond, Connie Wood and husband, James, Raenelle Sellers and husband, R.W., Gaynelle Swearingen and husband, Jerry Dan; Helen was also blessed with fourteen cherished grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, with one more on the way. Her impact on her family's lives will continue to be felt for generations to come.

Helen Christine Moss Dennis will be remembered as a woman of unshakable faith, boundless love, and incredible creativity. Her legacy lives on through her family, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with her beloved husband and family members who preceded her in death.
