Obituary

Henry Arnold "Frenchy" Tschirhart, age 96 of Lake Worth, Texas passed from this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at his home with his loving wife by his side, holding his hand.

Henry was born to John Arnold Tschirhart and Lucie Georgette Tissot at their home in Ervy le Chatel, France. His family came to Texas when he was 17 years of age. Henry was owner/operator of Medina Valley Mill and Lumber Company and later worked for Brulin as a sales rep for 19 years. He retired at age 63 years of age but kept busy at home. He was happiest working in his yard and gardening.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, eldest brother, John; sisters, Nanette, Lucette, Jacquline, Jenny, Suzanne and son, Garlan.

Survivors: He left behind his devoted wife of 40 years, Janice Perry (Layne) Tschirhart; three loving daughters, Sandra Haegelin (Johnny), Renee Barrett (James), Tina Dunlop (Tony); sons, Michael Layne (Aura), David Layne (Cheryl), and Jason Layne (Becky); one brother remains, James of Austin; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, too many to name, but he loved them all in his own way.

Higher learning was always a passion for Henry, and he graciously donated his body to UT Southwestern Medical Center in the hopes that research would/could help many people in the future. Per his request, no service will be held. We wish to thank Hospice for their caring help.
