Howard "Wayne" Johnson, JR, born on February 16, 1972, to Vicki and Wayne Johnson, SR, in Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on October 13, 2024.

Wayne was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Cathy Johnson, whom he cherished for 25 wonderful years. He was a true sports enthusiast, passionately supporting the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. His weekends were filled with joy, attending his grandchildren's sporting events and enjoying peaceful days cruising on the lake.

Wayne was known for his straightforward and sometimes stubborn nature, often speaking his mind, but beneath that tough exterior was a heart full of love and care for those around him. He will be remembered for his unique personality, candid sense of humor, and the profound impact he had on the lives of his family and friends. Though he may have been a "bonehead" at times, his legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories will remain with us all.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife Cathy; his step-son Allen Wazny and wife Nicki; his daughter Catlynn Askins and husband Spencer; five adored grandchildren: AJ, Aubree, Brooklynn, Luke, and Charlotte; his grandfather Leo Britton; and many family members from the Johnson, Britton, and Miskiewicz families. He is preceded in death by his father, Howard "Wayne" Johnson, SR; his mother and step-father, Vicki and Murphy Britton.

A celebration of life will be scheduled, and further information will be provided by the family.
