Irene was born on March 29, 1975 in Cameroon, West Africa to Moses and Cecilia Chenney. On May 27, 2023 she passed into eternal life.

Five years ago Irene came to the US from Cameroon. She had a vibrant professional life working for Amazon, Fed Ex and receiving her Certification as a nurse.

Irene loved Jesus, she loved her family, she loved her children. Her favorite thing to do was to pray for people, especially those she loved. Irene knew by faith during her time on earth the power and effectiveness of prayer, now standing before the object of her faith and affection, she takes her place in the great cloud of witnesses and waits for the day when we are all together again in His presence.

While Irene was certainly met by her Lord and Savior, Jesus she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger who passed away in December of 2022, and her parents, Moses and Cecilia. What a grand celebration they are having in the presence of the Lord.

Irene is survived by her siblings: Emmanuel, Lucy, Grace, Julie, Henry, Edith, Constance and Janet. She also leaves behind five children: Kennely, Ashley, Rhema, Leonard and Splendor.
