Jack Edward Shreffler, age 80, passed from this life on Monday, February 10, 2025, at his home in Fort Worth, Texas. Born to Jack B. Shreffler and Josephine Wright, Jack lived a full and impactful life.
Service: 11:00 am, Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Committal: 11:15 am, Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Visitation: 10:00 am, Thursday, prior to the Service.
Jack married the love of his life, Carrie (VerSteegh) Shreffler, on July 9, 1965, in Denton, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and commitment. Jack proudly served in the United States Army and later channeled his hardworking spirit into his career at Cadenhead Shreffler Insurance Agency.
An avid fisherman, Jack found joy and tranquility in the great outdoors. He also dedicated much of his life, after retirement, to mission work in Central America, embodying his deep faith and compassion for others. Jack was active in mentoring young Christian men, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. He was a member of Christ Chapel Bible Church in Fort Worth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack B. Shreffler and Lorene Shreffler, Josephine Dickinson and Bill Dickinson, and his brother, Bill Dickinson.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife, Carrie Shreffler; son, Jack Shreffler and wife Elaine; grandchildren, Jack Shreffler, Jacob and wife, Madison Shreffler; great-grandchild, Natalie Shreffler; sisters, Susan Moore and Doug, Mary Jo Smith and Lance, Jeanne Sanders and Brad, and Martia Emerich and Doug; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Jack's legacy of love, faith, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
