Mr. Jackie Franklin Rhymes, 73, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018.
Graveside Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Bethel Cemetery in Parker County.
Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Jackie was born February 24, 1945 to Henry and Mildred (Chandler) Rhymes in San Saba, Texas.
He had numerous hobbies, including working on his 1955 Chevy car with Austin Mills and Kevin Forrister, listening to Elvis Presley, singing Johnny Horton songs, watching westerns (he loved John Wayne), and most of all, he loved to share his diet Coke with his great-grandbaby, Baby Gracie, whom is handicapped. Hope Cooper would help out a lot.
He spent ten years working for Jordon's Trucking in Weatherford, and also worked in the scrap-metal business for 15 years with his partners, Joe Simpson, Kevin Forrister, and Donald Kirk.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn Rhymes; step-father, Roy Mason Rowney; brother-in-law, Charles Holley Rowney; children, Bobby Rhymes and wife, Tammy, Jeffery Rhymes and wife, Connie, Jackie Lynn Roberts, Vickie Rhymes, Jackie Fraklin Rhymes Jr. and wife, Angel; Molly K. Rhymes and husband, Joe Simpson, Melissa Rhymes and husband, D.J. Ramsey, Billy Jack Rhymes; adopted child, Mindy Rhymes; his cook/housekeeper/nanny, Paul Monroe; his right hand man, Brianna; children he raised as his own, Charlie, Cameron, Christine, Valerie, Casey, Kevin, and Mike Jennings, Autumn and Tiffany, Dessire, Brittany, Lulu, Jacob, and Jason, Josh, Robert, Bobby, Crystal, Bryce; 31 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
