Jacqueline Simpson McLennan, 80, passed away after a long courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 12, at All Saints Episcopal Church, 5001 Crestline Road, Fort Worth. Internment will be in Hood Family Cemetery in Aledo. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A reception will follow the burial at the home of her daughter. Box 297410, Fort Worth, Texas, 76129. "Jackie" was born in Fort Worth on February 16, 1936, to Katherine Sandidge and Constant Copeland Simpson. Jackie was from two pioneer families, which included the first Postmaster Julian Feild of Fort Worth and the rancher, attorney and first Judge of Parker County, AJ Hood. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1954 and worked with her husband in many of his companies. Jackie dedicated her life to her family and friends and was known for her sense of humor, funny stories, caring nature, and was the life of every party she attended. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Payne and husband, Dustin, of Fort Worth; sons, Bruce McLennan and wife, Caroline, of Fort Worth, Jim McLennan and wife, Lesa, of Palo Pinto, Jay McLennan and partner, Scott Cook, of London, United Kingdom; grandson, Hood Whitson and wife, Lauren; granddaughters, Kristen Cole and husband, Tommy, and Alexandra McLennan; great-grandchildren, Camden and Kate Cole. She is also survived by many other loved family members and wonderful friends.
