James "Jim" Allen, 62, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, October 3, 2016.
A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial: Springtown Cemetery in Springtown.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice in Jims name.
Jim was born February. 4, 1954 in Fort Worth, to James and Patsy Allen. He graduated high school from L.D. Bell in Bedford, and then joined the U.S. Navy. Jim attended T.C.J.C. and began a life-long career in printing, ending at the Bureau of Printing and Engraving where he proudly worked as a supervisor.
Jim married the love of his life, Kitty on December 28, 1973; they were blessed with 43 years together. Jim was a loyal and loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. He enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.
Jims life revolved around his family. He never missed a single event for his children or grandchildren. He had a passion for sports and loved coaching his sons and grandchildrens teams. Jim loved the Lord and worshiped at the Fundamental Baptist Church in Springtown, where he served as a Sunday school teacher.
He was preceded in death by his father, James "Papa" Allen.
Survivors: Jim leaves behind his wife, Kitty of Springtown; mother, Patsy Allen of Springtown; sons, Ken Allen of Springtown, and Brad Allen of Watagua; daughters-in-law, Delanie Allen of Fort Worth, and Carla Garrett, and husband, Tim of Bridgeport; brothers, James Allen of Colo., Michael Allen and wife, Carla of Van Alstyne; sister, Pam Lowrey and husband, Jack of Springtown; mother-in-law, Frankie Foore; sister-in-law, Amy Keeley of Virgina Beach; grandchildren, Taylor, Faith, Max, Kelsey, Cooper; and grand-dog, Bailey; great-grandchildren, Tatum and Puddin-Nicole, and numerous nieces and nephews.
