James C. "Ole Man" DeWoody, 80, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, January 23, at Biggers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in James name to the Texas Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital. James, a U.S. Air Force veteran, was born August 27, 1935, in Bonham to Bluford H. and Annie Maye DeWoody. He was a longtime area resident and retired after 30 years with Bell Helicopter. He loved car racing, spending time with his family and coaching softball. "Let it ride." He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, James Michael DeWoody. James is survived by his daughter, Dana DeWoody; grandchildren, Jennifer DeWoody and Jamie DeWoody; and great-grandchildren, Zion Daniel Mix, Keagan James Mix and Callie James Long.
