James Lewis Duke, 70, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013, in Weatherford.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home.

James Lewis Duke was born October 14, 1942, in Dallas. He served in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1964 aboard the destroyer USS William C. Lawe. He retired from Bell Helicopter in October 2002 after 37 years of service.
Mr. Duke was preceded in death by his wife, Betty E. Duke, on May 12, 2012, and a brother, Collin Woodrow Duke.
He is survived by his children, Daniel Duke and wife, Paige, of Bedford, Wendy Duke Ayers and husband, Ric, Kim Ubinger and husband, Jim, of Azle; sister, Faye Brooks of Bedford; grandchildren, Amber Ubinger, Collin L. Duke, Alexandra Duke and Collin "C.J." Ayers; his lifetime "Best Friend," Vernon Neal; and a number of nieces and nephews.
