James spent his early years in Olton, Texas, where he worked alongside his brothers and sister on the family farm. It was there he met the love of his life, Marcella, who became his devoted wife and lifelong companion. Together, they built a family rooted in love, hard work, and faith.

In 1983, James and Marcella moved to Fort Worth, where James continued to dedicate himself to providing for his family. He was known for his generosity, devotion, and the joy he found in being a husband, father, and "Papaw." James never missed a sporting event for his grandsons, Hudson and JJ, and could always be counted on to cheer them on, share a laugh, and spoil them with treats. His constant presence in their lives will be cherished forever.

To his family, James was a pillar of strength. By his example, he taught his daughters and grandsons the values of devotion, integrity, and putting family above all else. His legacy will live on in the lessons he instilled and the love he so freely gave.

James is survived by his beloved wife, Marcella Hall; daughters, Angie Owens (Joe), Jamie Huffman (Jeff), and Brittany Weaver (Matt); grandsons, Hudson Owens and JJ Huffman; brother, Bill; sister, Sharon; sister-in-law, Diane; nephew, Caleb Hall (Tatum) and great-nephew, Corbin; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He also leaves behind dear friends Tracy Gray, Shannon Stanley, and Yolanda McCullough.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.S. and Delphy Hall, and his brothers, Jimmy, Dick, and Bob Hall.

James will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, his hardworking spirit, and his gift for making those around him feel valued and loved. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
