James Lee "Jim" Tucker Jr. flew into the arms of his Savior on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 22, 2026.

Service: 10 A.M. Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Silver Creek Methodist Church, 2200 Church Road in Azle.

Interment: Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle.

Visitation: 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at Biggers Funeral Home.

Jim was born May 23, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas, to James Lee Tucker Sr. and Betty Burgess Tucker.

He attended Azle schools and graduated from Azle High School in 1969. He was active in FFA and won many awards with his prized Jersey cow, Etta Dale. He went on to attend Weatherford College. Growing up on the farm, Jim helped with the everyday care of the cows, hogs, and chickens, and with feeding, plowing, and gathering crops, including hay.

Jim worked for Hogan Office Supply until it closed, then spent 30 years at John Peter Smith Hospital, retiring in May 2026. He was a giving person with a true servant's heart, and for many years he cared for his grandparents and parents. He loved the Lord and not only spoke of his faith but lived it every day.

He was an avid sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers, and TCU.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lee Tucker Sr. and Betty Burgess Tucker, and grandparents, Charley and Velma Burgess, and Agnes and Lee Tucker.

He is survived by his brother, Jerry Tucker, and wife Mary of Fort Worth; his sisters, Janis Grimland of Fort Worth, and Joyce Grimland and husband, John of Dublin, Texas; he was a loving uncle to nieces and nephews, Carol Davis and husband, Dale, Bryan Grimland, Lee Tucker and wife, Morgan, Liz Diaz and husband, Joel, Jerik Grimland, Jayla Grimland, Nicole Davis, and Kayla Davis; great-nieces and great-nephews, Chandler Tucker and wife, Mackenzie, Maci Tucker, Chase Tucker, Ayden Grimland, Olivia Diaz, Milo Diaz, Isabel Puerta, Issac Puerta, Tanner Crutcher, and Thor Davis; uncles, Bob Burgess and wife, Betty, Jack Burgess and wife, Shirley, and many cousins.
