Jan was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend—cherished for his boundless kindness, joyful spirit, and contagious laughter. He had a natural gift for lighting up any room, always aiming to bring joy to those around him. A devout Catholic, Jan was an active member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. As a Grand Knight of the Fourth Degree with the Knights of Columbus, he led with purpose, sharing his deep commitment to faith, family, and service.
Born on May 4, 1938, in Chicago and raised in Cicero, Illinois, Jan met the love of his life, Beverley, during their teenage years. They were married on February 6, 1960, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and a year later, joyfully welcomed their son, Ray. This past February, they celebrated 65 wonderful years of marriage with a grand and joyous anniversary celebration surrounded by loved ones.
In 1976, the family moved to the Dallas, Texas area, where Jan founded his own accounting firm, which he operated until his retirement in 2024. Beyond his professional success, Jan found purpose in serving others—volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister, visiting nursing homes, and delivering meals through the Meals on Wheels program.
Jan is survived by his beloved wife, Beverley; his son, Raymond, and daughter-in-law, Annette; his grandchildren, Nicholas (and wife, Rachel) and Briana (and husband, Hayden); and cherished family members Patricia and Karen.
Jan's legacy of love, laughter, and service will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
