Jane Thompson Harmonson, 83, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Visitation: 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM, prior to the service.

Service: 1:00 p.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026, North Fort Worth Baptist Church

Interment will follow at Dido Cemetery.

She was born on March 14, 1943, in the family home in the community of Avondale, Texas, and grew up in Haslet, Texas, where she laid the foundation for a life defined by faith, family, and care for the people around her.

At the heart of everything Jane did was her devotion to her husband and children. She was a dedicated homemaker who poured herself into her family. She rarely missed a moment in the lives of her children and grandchildren — from school events to ball games to milestone celebrations — making her presence a constant and cherished part of their lives. When her children were nearly grown, she channeled that same nurturing spirit into Jane's Unique Designs, a clothing boutique she owned and operated in Keller, Texas, for twenty years. The store became a gathering place, and the friendships she formed there were among her great joys. In retirement, Jane and Morris discovered a shared passion for antiquing, operating booths together in local antique malls — a pursuit that kept them active, engaged, and working side by side through their later years.

Her faith was the foundation beneath it all. Jane was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church in Haslet and later of North Fort Worth Baptist Church, where her warmth, generosity, and welcoming spirit touched many lives.

On August 4, 1962, she married Morris Harmonson, and together they built a life of love and faithfulness over 63 years of marriage. Jane leaves behind her husband, Morris; her children, Doug Harmonson and his wife, Joan, David Harmonson and his wife, Melissa, and Dana Blackaby and her husband, Norman; her sister, Exsa Reeves; eleven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. Thompson and Oletha Dell Thompson; her sister, Johnnie Russell; and her daughter-in-law, Sandra Harmonson.

Jane was friendly, gracious, and generous — a woman who made everyone feel welcome and whose greatest joy was the family she loved so much.
