Jason Daniel "Dan" Smith, 40, beloved husband, father, son and friend, went home to be with his precious Savior on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, surrounded by his family at his home. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Saginaw, 300 N. Old Decatur Road, Saginaw. He served those around him selflessly, showing the love of Christ to countless people and displaying an unwavering faith in Christ in spite of the trials he endured during his fight against cancer. His faith was not circumstantial. Survivors include his wife, Linda Smith; children, Savannah, Isaac, Sam and Nate; parents, James and Ellen Smith of Midlothian; sister, Deyna; and many other precious family members and friends.
