Obituary

Jeffrey K. Brown, age 68, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2025. A man of faith, compassion, and quiet wisdom, Jeff touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Born in Los Angeles, California, to Carlota and Gilfred Brown, Jeff was one of five siblings.

He graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 1982 with a bachelor's degree in animal science. He was a proud member of Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity and actively involved in the Cal Poly School of Agricultural Council, always lending his voice and insight to the communities he valued.

Jeff was a once-in-a-lifetime kind of person. A deep believer in Christ, his door—and heart—were always open. He treated strangers like kin, and his generous spirit turned neighbors into lifelong friends. Whether quoting Scripture from memory or engaging in thoughtful conversation out on the porch, Jeff made people feel seen and heard. His intelligence and depth of knowledge left an impression wherever he went, but it was his kindness that people remembered most. He spent some of his time crafting music into wood and was planning on retiring and making the curve of a violin his hobby.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents and his brother, Gil Brown.

Jeff is survived by his devoted wife, Lori R. Brown; son, Clayton; his sisters, Minia Roth and Pualii Brown; his brother, Bradford Brown; and a host of extended family and friends who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts.

Jeff's life was a testament to grace, warmth, and unwavering faith. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
