Jerry Garrett Pritchard, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 10, 2025.
Visitation: 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at Bigger's Funeral Home
Graveside Service: 11:00 am, Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Greenwood Memorial Park, Fort Worth, Texas.
Jerry was born on February 11, 1937, to Curtis and Dolores Pritchard in Lake Worth, Texas. In high school, Jerry was a standout quarterback for Lake Worth High School and was recruited to play football for Texas Christian University. He also was a talented artist which led him into the field of textile sales and design. He also served in the Navel Reserves.
Jerry was united in marriage on August 2, 1957, to Emma Faye Ealy. Jerry and Emma settled in River Oaks, Texas and raised two sons, Bruce and Jake.
Jerry was active in the Castleberry Athletic Club and later served as President. Later his career led him to become an entrepreneur owning and operating several businesses before retirement. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and golfer. In his later years he enjoyed watching sports, solving crossword puzzles, telling stories from his past, and whistling all the time. Most of all Jerry loved the Lord. He studied God's word tirelessly and energetically daily seeking to unravel the intricacies of the word. Jerry also led bible studies from his home and led numerous individuals of all ages to a deeper understanding of God's word. This was his most passionate endeavor and his love and commitment to the Lord was unwavering even until his passing.
Jerry is survived by his wife of 67 years, Emma; son, Bruce Pritchard and wife Shonda of Arlington, Texas; son, Jake Pritchard and wife Shannon of Hurst, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
