Jimmy Lawrence Davis, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, in Saginaw, Texas. Born on March 6, 1945, Jimmy, affectionately known as Jim, was a beloved husband, father, and friend.
Service: 10:00 am, Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas 76135.
Interment: 1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 5 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
Jim served honorably in the United States Air Force, dedicating his service to his country with commitment and pride. Following his military service, he pursued a successful career as a welder and pipefitter, retiring as an expert in his field.
Jim's life was marked by his jovial spirit and his ability to make others laugh. A devout fan of the Dallas Cowboys, he also excelled in pool, winning numerous tournaments over the years. His love for classic rock music was evident in his extensive album collection, and he was equally gifted in poetry, with extraordinary penmanship.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Clarence Davis and Lillian Florence Grindstaff; and his son, Jeffrey Davis.
Family was at the core of Jim's life. He is survived by his wife, Judith Ramos Davis; children, Laura (Blake) Strange, Tammy (Derrick) Howard, Jason Davis, Larissa (Thomas) Biggs, Jessica Davis, and JJ Davis; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim's life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
