Joan Kay Price Presley, 59, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012, in White Settlement.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday; Joan will be laid to rest next to her husband at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery in Santa Teresa, New Mexico. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Joan was born March 23, 1953, in Benton Harbor, Michigan, to the Rev. John F. Price and M. Mildred Finch Price. She married Terry Len Presley of Jal, New Mexico, in 1975. They later moved to Harvey, Louisiana, where both of their children were born. Joan was an animal lover and enjoyed showing her afghan hounds and raising paint horses. After the death of her husband in 1999 she owned and operated a small ranch north of Mayhill, New Mexico, in the mountains.
She was predeceased by her husband and parents.
Joan is survived by her son, Jared Presley of Abilene; her daughter, Rachel Presley of Fort Worth; her sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Russel Buss of Port Arthur; nephew, Mathew Buss Sr.; and niece, Sarah Presley.
