JoAnn Warren Tankersley, 77, passed from the Earth on Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in Fort Worth.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Davis St. Church of Christ in North Richland Hills. There will be a reception immediately following to welcome friends and family at the Schluter residence.
She was born to JF and Loriene Warren on June 16, 1935, in Houston. She had four siblings: Bill Warren, Harry Warren, Jerry Ray Warren and Linda Boisjolie. She married JT Tankersley at the age of 16, and was married to him for 32 years. She resided in Haslet and enjoyed her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her former husband, JT Tankersley; son, Gary Tankersley; brother, Jerry Ray Warren; grandsons, Dustin Cook, Bobby Cook II and Ryan Cook.
She is survived by her daughters Jean Cook and husband, Bobby, of Colleyville, Karen Schluter and husband, Mark, of Haslet, Sunney Coder and husband, Kevin, of Saginaw; grandchildren, Eric Schluter, Virginia Blankinship, John Durant, William Durant, Crystal Crouch, Shannon Strange, Amy Hausey, Jenifer Tankersley, Kaitlin Tankersley and Ryan Cook II; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
