John Arthur Rector, 79, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas Service: 10 am, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at Biggers Funeral Home Chapel Entombment: Greenwood Memorial Park Mausoleum Visitation: 6-8 pm, Monday, October 18, 2021, at Biggers Funeral Home John Arthur Rector was born October 4, 1942, in Fort Worth to Everett Rush Rector, Jr. and Juanita M. (Hopper) Rector. Later in his life, he met the love of his life, Margaret Ann Gordon and they were married for 41 years. John loved his family and the time he spent with them. Everyone loved John. He was an avid talker and never met a stranger. After retirement he spent his time in home repair, remodeling homes and was a handyman mostly for senior citizens. John also loved country music and dancing the Texas Two-Step and Cotton Eyed Joe. He was a true Texan and follower of Jesus Christ. During his working career he was the former building official for the City of Azle, the former residential inspector for the City of Fort Worth and former salesman for Texas Steel. John is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his children, Rush Rector and his wife, Melissa, Angela Schloffman and her husband, Reigh, Joseph Rector and his wife, Kindal and Kenneth Rector; grandchildren, Collin Rector and his wife, Rachel, Ashland Rector, Connor Schloffman and Morgan Schloffman; brothers, Charles Rector and his wife, Doris and Skip Rector and his wife, Sally; sister, Sandra Belhumeur and her husband, Marc and many nieces, nephews and friends.
