Johnny Lee Allen, 56, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 13, 2013, in Mansfield. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Saturday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 4 p.m. Sunday in Rio Frio Cemetery in Leakey, Texas. Johnny was raised in Uvalde, where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Lizanne. He worked at Lone Star Steel for more than 11 years in Longview, and then moved to Arlington to begin a 26-year career with Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth. Johnny was well respected by his support staff, fellow employees, and supervisors for his ability to get the job done. Johnnys "over the top" personality, combined with quick wit, always made work enjoyable. Johnny loved involving everyone around him in his love of sports, be it golf, the Dallas Cowboys, University of Texas Longhorns, and much more. Johnny was a loyal loving husband of 38 years and a proud father, but most honored with his role as "Pappy." Johnny left us without notice and will be missed immensely. He left behind many, including his wife, Lizanne; daughter, Stephanie; son, Brian; grandchildren, Zane and Mason; mother-in-law, Mary; aunt, Velma Lois; sisters-in-law; nieces; tons of cousins; and lots of good friends.
