Obituary

Joseph Torres, age 71, of Fort Worth, Texas, entered eternal rest with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 5, 2025. He was born on November 19, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 12, 2025, Fellowship Baptist Church, 1600

Old Decatur Road, Saginaw, Texas 76179.

Committal:  11:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2026, Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

A memorial service will also be held in Chicago in the future to honor his life among family and friends there.

Joseph honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1979. He will be remembered for his unwavering faith, devotion to family, and steadfast spirit. His life was a testimony of love, service, and resilience, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Guadalupe Torres; his children, Sandy Sarmiento (Ian Sarmiento) and Tony Torres; and his cherished grandchildren, Bradley and Ryan Sarmiento. Joseph was the brother of the late John Bianchi (Sue) and is also survived by siblings Ricardo Torres (Elaine), Pedro Antonio Torres (Margarita), Mark Bianchi, Vivian Torres (Adalberto), Paul Bianchi, Magaly Torres, and Roberto Torres.

Joseph's presence brought warmth, strength, and faith to those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
