Joyce Maedean Stevens, 81, a retired bookkeeper, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, January 17, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Azleland Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home. Maedean was born May 9, 1931, in Whitney, to John H. and Josie M. Curbo. She was a longtime area resident and was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Stevens. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Godbey and Linda Fincher; son, Dennis McQueen; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
