Obituary

On Saturday, December 22, 2012, Judy Byrd, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was called home by her heavenly Father. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Lake Country Church, 8777 Boat Club Rd., Fort Worth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association. Judy was born in Norwich, Connecticut, April 1, 1941, to George and Dorthy Hawley. Her family later moved to Deland, Florida, where she met and later married Roscoe Byrd on December 28, 1958. For the next 22 years she served her country by being a devoted Navy wife and raising two daughters while her husband was at sea. After their retirement, she enjoyed traveling in the motor home with her husband all over the United States and taking trips with her daughters and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, sister and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, Roscoe; daughters, Brenda Lindberg and husband, George, Tammie Andrews and husband, Steve; her five grandchildren, Ray, Stephen and wife, Melanie, Dianalee and husband, Jeff, Kristopher and wife, Samantha, and Michael; her five great-grandchildren, Alicia, Abigail, Sophia, ElleeAnn and Hunter (the boy); and her sisters, Barbara Bresnan, Shirley Wallace, Janet Gast, Patty Couture and Phyllis Griffith.
