Judy Lynn Lisby went home to be with her Lord and Savior the morning of Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 8, 2026, Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Interment: following service at Dido Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas.

Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 7, 2026, Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Judy was born to Emmitt and Esther Pruitt on March 18, 1941, in Fort Worth. She graduated from Northside High School in 1959. Judy married her beloved husband of 51 years, Wayne Lisby, on September 29, 1961. They made their home in Lake Worth and raised their children, Laurel Ann and Howard Wayne there. Judy and Wayne committed to raise their family on the Word of God and Jesus Christ and they lived out their commitment consistently. The family was active at First Baptist Church of Lake Worth. Judy taught children there for many years while supporting Wayne who was a deacon and elder. Also, both Wayne and Judy were involved with The Gideons International for many years.

Judy had a deep love for the beauty of God's creation. She enjoyed gardening in her yard and fishing for crappie on various lakes with Wayne. Judy was a published poet and a loving neighbor and friend. Later in life Judy appreciated the fellowship of the Joy Class and the preaching of Dr. Robert Pearle both at Birchman Baptist Church. Wayne and Judy loved being grandparents to their granddaughter, Jordan, and great-grandson, Dakotah.

Besides being a homemaker, Judy worked with Wayne in their business endeavors, including being the bookkeeper for TOP-WAY Properties. Wayne was always grateful for Judy's wisdom and input as they made business decisions together.

Wayne appreciated the way Judy cared for the family, especially as post-polio became more challenging for him physically. Their son, Howard, gratefully recalls one day that Wayne expressed to him, "After 50 years of marriage I am more in love with Judy now than the day I married her." Howard expressed that Judy and Wayne each had an authentic faith and were two of the godliest people he knows. These memories and expressions of love give evidence for the loving wife and mother Judy was.

Judy and the family would like to thank Judy's caregivers during the past few years: Mary Dean, Yolanda Oxley, Shakirah Mosley, and Judy's niece, Misty Carlton, in addition to the staff of Fidelis Senior Home Care. These ladies provided wonderful care for Judy as her health declined.

Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Howard (Wayne) Lisby, Sr. and her sisters, Sylvia Witcher and Jane Trusty.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Laurel Ann Lisby; son, Howard Wayne Lisby, Jr. and wife, Phyllis; granddaughter, Jordan Alexandra Morris and husband, Chris; great-grandson, Dakotah Christopher Morris; brother, Gene Emmitt Pruitt and wife, Theresa; along with other loving family members.
