Karen Casey Shumake, 66, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2016, after battling lung cancer, in Fort Worth.
Service: 6 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016 at Biggers Funeral Chapel.
Visitation: Monday, 4 p.m. until service time.
Karen Sue Casey was born October 17, 1949, in LaCrosse, Kansas, the daughter of Patrick and Frances Kisslinger Casey. An area resident since 1980, Karen was an accountant at Shady Oaks Country Club. Her passion was Jazzercise three to five times a week at the Saginaw Recreation Center.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Larry Shumake; mother and father-in-law, Ray and Myrl Shumake; three sisters, Patricia Rome Harman, Cheryl Wiesner and Laura Linsey; and one grandson, Kaleb Hart.
She is survived by her Daughters, Holly Affleck (Kurt) of Saginaw and Heather Shumake of Corpus Christi; brothers, Daryl Casey (Barbara) of Copeland, Kansas, Donald Casey (Melodie) of Johnson, Kansas, Jim Casey (Karin) of Hanston, Kansas, Jerry Casey (Karen) of Plainville, Kansas, Kevin Casey of Rogers, Arkansas, and Christopher Casey (Dare Rucker) of Lawton, Oklahoma; sister, Carolyn Schadel (Edgar) of Alexander, Kansas; grandchildren, Tyler Hart of Saginaw, Colton Anders of Saginaw and MaKenzee Huebner of Temple.
