Katherine Nina Nunnally, 88, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Fort Worth. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Biggers Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may be made to Paramount Baptist Church, 3801 S. Western St., Amarillo, TX 79109. Katherine was born on February 17, 1926 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Louis Calvin "L.C." and Jewel Irene Karr. She was married to James Ray Nunnally on November 5, 1945 in Seattle, Washington. Katherine and Ray were longtime residents of Amarillo and were charter members of Paramount Baptist Church. Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; brothers, Odie, Calvin and Boyce; and sister Nina. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Betty Kay Morrow and husband Robert of Fort Worth, Nina Lee Gaddis and husband Vaughn of Peachtree City, Georgia; son, Jay Ray Nunnally and wife Carolyn of Hickory Creek, Texas; grandchildren, Royal Morrow, Sterling Morrow and wife Brittani of Fort Worth, Katie Gill and husband Josh of Burleson, Jay C. Nunnally and wife Shane of Sunset, and Vaughn Gaddis IV; great grandchild, Korey Kistner of Burleson.
