Kip passed away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of Thursday, September 5, 2024 after spending time with his whole family on Wednesday evening. He had been looking forward to celebrating his 62nd wedding anniversary with his beloved wife, Nancy, the following Sunday.

Mass of The Resurrection: 1:00 pm, Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 800 High Crest Drive, Azle, Texas 76020.

A Private Inurnment will take place at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.

Kip was so grateful for his family and proud of them all. He loved spending time with his son, Wil, and his grandkids, going bowling with them, working on cars together, going to their baseball and soccer games, wrestling matches, and band concerts. They all adored their Papa, but it became a family joke: Kip admonishing the grandkids to check the oil, although they never did.

A warm-hearted, gregarious man, he was a friend to all, and he never knew a stranger. He and Nancy met when she was still in high school, and he went into U.S. Army soon after. They spent the early years of their marriage at Fort Bliss, in El Paso, Texas, subsequently living in the Chicago area, for a few years, before moving to Texas, where Kip worked for American Airlines for 32 years.

His job with the Airlines afforded the family many opportunities to travel. Kip was an avid bowler, and he loved taking his family to tournaments and taking trips all over the world: Brazil, Switzerland, London, Dublin, Italy, Hungary, and all over the US. He once bowled a perfect game and wore his "300" ring with pride.

When he was younger, Kip had many adventures with his family in their camping trailer, and despite rain, tire blowouts, and even a coming tornado, everyone had lots of fun.

Kip's other love was working with the Knights of Columbus, where he attained the 4th degree and gladly served as secretary for many years. He enjoyed wearing the Knights of Columbus regalia and standing honor guard for funerals and other church functions.

He kept his mind active in his later years by attending classes at the community college to learn about computers and putting his knowledge to work.

Kip is survived by his wife, Nancy (Wedow); son, Willard Dale "Wil" LeFever; grandchildren, Thoryn, Gunnar, Pella, and Eyvindr LeFever; sister, Mary Beth Sharples (John); and sister-in-law, Sue Wedow.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jane and Willard LeFever, and his twin brother, Willard "Butch".
