Obituary - Kent L. Talbot Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Kent Lee Talbot, passed away quietly on March 3, 2019 at the age of 63. Kent was born November 5, 1955 in Delta, Utah to Cleone Stewart Talbot and Melva Arlene Hurst Talbot. His first home was in Hinckley, Utah, but early in his life, his family moved to Provo, Utah where he grew up. He attended Provo High School, graduating in 1974. From 1975 to 1977, he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Dallas Mission. Following his mission, he married his high school sweetheart, Judy Anderson, on May 6, 1977 in the Manti Utah Temple. The family expanded to include three children: Gregory Kent, Bryan James, and Nancy Jane. When their sons were small, Kent and Judy relocated from Provo to Fort Worth, Texas. Kent graduated from the University of Texas - Arlington in 1986 and then attended the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, graduating in 1989. He worked for Ross & Matthews P.C. in Fort Worth for twenty years. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and gladly served in many callings, including his present calling as a High Councilor in the Fort Worth Texas Stake, Bishop of the Azle Ward, and as a Counselor in the Weatherford Texas Stake Presidency. He especially loved working with the young people including serving in the Boy Scouts of America program and teaching early morning seminary. He is survived by his wife, Judy of Fort Worth; children: Gregory and Felisa Talbot of Springtown, and their daughter Abby; Bryan and Sadie Talbot of Hurst, and their children Kai, Joseph, and Rachel; and Nancy and Brian Taylor of Forney, who are expecting a daughter in June. He is also survived by his sisters Margaret (Doug) Erickson of Orem, Utah and Diane (John Barnes) Talbot of Northglenn, Colorado, and brothers Paul (Sandie) Talbot of Springville, Utah and Mark (Stephanie) Talbot of Alpine, Utah. Kent was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Morgan and David, and two granddaughters, Guinevere Talbot and Eve Taylor. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 9, at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100 Paint Pony Trail North, Fort Worth. Visitation is Friday, March 8 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, Fort Worth, and at 10:00 AM on Saturday prior to the funeral.
