Kimberly Kay Rome, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025 at the age of 62.

Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 11, 2025 Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Interment: following service at Ash Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2025, Biggers Funeral Home State Room. Additional visitation

will take place from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Saturday before the Service.

Kimberly was born on December 22, 1962, in Wichita, Kansas, raised and survived by her mother and stepfather, Sandra & Don Willie, as well as her father and stepmother, GW & Dianne Qualls.

Kimberly was the beloved wife of Keith Rome for 19 years, with whom she shared a beautiful life since their marriage on June 3, 2006, in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a loving mother to her two daughters, Cassandra Lesperance and Samantha Walker, and a cherished sister to her half-siblings, Dawn Knoll, Teresa Sykes, and Scott Qualls. Kimberly was also a proud and loving grandmother to five grandchildren: Cayden & Rylan Camp, Addie & Aspen Mims, and Brinley Hastings. Her family was the heart of her world, and she poured her love and energy into them every day.

A graduate of Valley Center High School in 1981, Kimberly had several careers including working at a local bank, at Cessna Aircraft as an engineering tech and inspector, and later found joy in several equine-related roles that reflected her love of horses.

She had a lifelong passion for animals, and from a young age found her greatest joy in horseback riding. Her deep love for animals extended to her beloved dogs, who were always by her side. She was a free spirit who loved dancing, riding horses fast, and driving fast cars. Her mesmerizing smile and laughter penetrated all around her.

Kimberly faced life's challenges with strength and grace, including her diagnosis with Posterior Cortical Atrophy (PCA), a rare form of Alzheimer's. Though the disease brought difficulties, it never diminished the love she shared with those around her or the warmth she brought into their lives. She continued to find joy in life and always had a reason to laugh and smile.

Kimberly will be remembered for her strength, free spirit, deep connection with animals, and the immense love she had for her family and friends. She was the love of Keith's life. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
